Among the Paddle boats you'll find the Victorian Paddlewheelers "Spirit of Sacramento" and the "Mathew McKinley". Both are operated the "Riverboat Cruises" operation right there on the waterfront. They offer special event cruises along the river including Happy Hour, Dinner and Lunch cruises. The prices looked to be extremely reasonable with lunch and a two hour cruise priced at $27.50 per person. Tickets can be purchased in advance at their onsite ticket booth, or at their website at www.oldsacriverboat.com .

Just down a bit from the actual cruising paddle boats is a permanently moored paddle boat by the name of "The Delta King Hotel". This cool place was raised after it had been under water for quite some time. After a lengthy restoration process, it ended up here in Old Town and began a second life as a hotel. They offer overnight packages that includes two tickets to a mystery dinner, overnight stay, as well as a continental breakfast. For more information and current prices you can call the Delta King Hotel at 916-444-5464.

All of these old paddle boats and with the river nearby, just makes for a very cool scene. It felt like something out of Huckleberry Finn! Next stop...The California Railroad Museum.
