We made it. Wow. Not a bad hike at all. The view on the way here was awesome, and now the cave. I noticed
that as we got closer to the sheer rock cliffs and out of the sun the temperature dropped considerably.
We were now about to enter the cave where the temperature would drop even more. In addition to a lack of heat, there was also
a lack of light. As I was about to go in a few people were coming out commenting on the dark, and the tension they felt from
nervousness.
Into the cave we went. Wow is all I can say. It was totally worth the trip. It was absolute utter darkness...thank God I remembered
to bring my flashlight. As the cave narrowed I couldn't help but wonder what I would do in the event of an earthquake...what being on top
of the San Andreas fault and all. Luckily there was no quake. The overall trip was very cool. I totally recommend it. It could even be quite
fun with kids, just be careful. As a matter of fact there was a kidnot more than 3 years old, hiking through the cave with his parents when
were coming back out. He seemed a bit scared...what a baby! ;-) No, really it could be a fun day with kids. Just remember to bring a flashlight
, preferably one for each person in the group, maybe some light snacks, and some water. It can be hot and was quite warm today.
